Day 1: Arrival in Colombo → Sigiriya

Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport (Colombo).

Meet your driver/guide and head to Sigiriya (approx. 4-5 hours drive).

Check in to your hotel in Sigiriya.

Visit the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Climb to the top for stunning views and explore the ancient frescoes and gardens.

Relax at your hotel or enjoy a village safari by bullock cart or bicycle.

Day 2: Sigiriya → Polonnaruwa → Minneriya National Park

Morning:

Visit the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the ruins of temples, palaces, and statues.

Head to Minneriya National Park for a jeep safari. Spot elephants, monkeys, and other wildlife, especially during the dry season (July–September) when the "Gathering" of elephants occurs.

Day 3: Sigiriya → Kandy

Travel to Kandy (approx. 2.5 hours drive).

Day 4: Kandy → Nuwara Eliya

Take a scenic train ride from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya (reserve seats in advance for the best views). This is one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world, passing through tea plantations and mountains.

Visit a tea plantation and factory to learn about Sri Lanka’s famous Ceylon tea and enjoy a fresh cup.

Explore Nuwara Eliya, known as "Little England," with its colonial architecture, lush gardens, and cool climate.

Day 5: Nuwara Eliya → Colombo

Visit Gregory Lake or Victoria Park for a relaxing stroll.

Stop by Ramboda Falls on your way back to Colombo.

Drive back to Colombo (approx. 6-7 hours, or take a domestic flight from Nuwara Eliya to save time).
